Bomag — Plant & Capability Snapshot

Numbers we can defend when a procurement auditor walks the floor: floor area, annual roller output, dyno cells and regional parts hubs that keep paving trains moving.

68,000 m²Production footprint dedicated to rollers, pavers and compactors
1,800Road construction units shipped per year (2-shift baseline)
850Employees across manufacturing, field service and applications
62Countries with active dealer or direct shipping coverage
2003Founding year of the current compaction manufacturing platform
12Hydraulic and vibration dyno cells for drum unit validation
18Regional parts hubs stocking drums, isolators and screed plates
320Operator and FSE training seats delivered each year

Why paving buyers audit the plant before the PO

Fleet managers comparing asphalt compaction equipment manufacturers rarely stop at brochure amplitude charts. They ask how many vibration units we rebuild in-house, whether Tier 4 Final aftertreatment is calibrated on our own emissions cells, and how fast a cracked drum shell ships to a night-shift corridor.

Bomag answers with plant data: sixty-eight thousand square metres of fabrication and paint, eighteen hundred units of annual capacity across tandem rollers, pneumatic tire rollers, asphalt pavers, plate compactors, motor graders and cold planers, plus field engineers who speak nuclear-gauge language on the mat.

How we keep serial numbers honest

Every machine leaving the line carries CE marking under 2006/42/EC, ISO 9001 process control and EPA Tier 4 Final or EU Stage V emission documentation. ISO 45001 governs the fabrication bays where eccentric shafts and drum shells are matched. Custom engineering requests — wider drums, tropical cooling packs, airport lighting kits — route through the same audit trail.

When your bid package demands low fuel consumption evidence or site-proven references, we attach commissioning reports from highway binder courses and mining haul roads rather than generic marketing claims.

From steel plate to commissioned paving train

Fabrication starts with drum shells and frame weldments that move through shot-blast, paint and final assembly bays before vibration units are spun on dyno cells. Amplitude shift mechanisms are checked hot and cold so the dual-frequency lock behaves the same on a desert binder course as on a humid night mill-and-fill. Operators who attend our school sit in the same cab layout they will see on delivery, which shortens the first paving week when nuclear-gauge crews are waiting on density.

Field service engineers rotate through the rebuild shops so they recognise eccentric-shaft wear patterns before they strand a corridor. That loop — plant, hub, mat — is why we publish plant-audit numbers instead of slogans. If your procurement file needs a factory visit, the applications desk will schedule a walk through the dyno cells and parts staging lanes with your mechanical engineer or safety officer.
