How do I choose amplitude for base course versus wearing course?

Use the higher amplitude setting (around 0.8 mm) on granular base and binder courses where deeper particle rearrangement is needed. Drop to 0.4 mm or static finish on thin wearing courses to avoid aggregate crushing and surface checking.

When is a pneumatic tire roller mandatory on the train?

Specify a pneumatic tire roller whenever the specification calls for sealed surface texture, airport pavement, or SMA mixes. The overlapping tires compact from the top down and close surface voids that tandem steel drums alone leave open.

What drum width covers a 3.75 m lane efficiently?

A 2.0 m drum typically finishes the lane in two overlapped passes; a 1.5 m drum needs three. Edge zones within 150 mm of curb usually need a smaller tandem or plate compactor so the main roller never rides the drainage structure.

Yes. Current production road rollers and pavers leave the plant with Tier 4 Final / Stage V aftertreatment. We issue NOx and PM logs per machine serial number for bid packages that require emission evidence.

What is the typical PO-to-commissioning window?

Standard tandem rollers ship in 10–14 weeks ex-works; asphalt pavers with electric-heat screeds run 14–18 weeks including foundation and trailer review. On-site commissioning and operator familiarization are scheduled inside the first paving week.
